I found my passion early in life growing up working in the hardware business with my father (Harold) at our family hardware store in Iowa.
In February of 1987 I made the best decision of my life and purchased what was formally known as Kansas Lumber (name had to be changed) which is now Bethany Building Center. Thirty plus years later I still love watching our customers fulfill their dreams.

I love helping our customers make their dreams a reality and seeing a project from inception to completion gives me a great sense of pride.
As a child I grew up running the aisles of BBC and I've always loved what our family has to offer the surrounding communities.

My name is Mark Hillyard. I am a Salesmen for Bethany Building Center. I have worked for Bethany Building Center since 1994. My wife is Carol Hillyard. We have 3 children, Beau, Jared, & Olivia. I graduated High School from South Harrison High School in 1984. After High School, I worked at the Standard Station in Bethany. After that I started working for the City of Bethany in the water department. Since then I have worked at Bethany Building Center. My Hobbies include hunting, fishing, racing, gardening, and cooking. The best part of working at Bethany Building Center is that it’s more like a family than a Business.

My name is Cathy Lowe. I am the book keeper for Bethany Building Center. I have worked for Bethany Building Center since May 2004. My husband is Leonard Lowe. We have 3 children Alisha Kelim, Jamie Roller, & Garrett Lowe. We have 8 grandchildren that we enjoy so much. I graduated High School from South Harrison High School in 1976. After High School I went to work for Lamoni Products in Lamoni until they shut down. From there I went to work for PM Place’s and stayed with them as Pamida took over Place’s. After that I work at Green Hills Insurance Company before arriving at Bethany Building Center. The best part of working at Bethany Building Center is being around people. I really enjoy the constant interaction of customers coming through the door.

My name is Eric Woodring. I am at Salesmen Bethany Building Center. I have worked for Bethany Building Center since January. My wife is Amber Woodring. We have 2 children Isabella and Levi. I graduated High School in 2004 from South Harrison High School in Bethany. After High School I went to work for Gilman City Lumber in Gilman City. From there I came to work at Bethany Building Center. My hobbies include fishing, coaching, & cooking. The best part of working at Bethany Building Center is the satisfaction of helping people.

My name is Kyle Johnson, I work outside in the yard as a Restock & Delivery person. I have worked for Bethany Building Center since October of 2017. My wife is Alyssa Johnson. We have been married since October of 2017. We have 4 children, 3 boys and 1 girl that keep us busy. I graduated High School from South Harrison High School in 2007. My first job out of High School was a farm hand for J & J Seed Company out of Gallatin for 4 years. Then I went to work for a local hog farm as a farm hand for 4 years. From there I went to work for Bethany Building Center. My hobbies include hunting, fishing, car racing, and other outdoor activities. The best part of working at Bethany Building Center are the people I work with. We really have a great group of people that I work with.

My name is Chad Walker (Chico), I am the outside yard Foreman. I have worked for Bethany Building Center since April of 2008. My wife is Jenny Walker. I graduated High School from South Harrison High School in Bethany. I went to work for a local contractor doing new construction and remodel work. From there I worked at Taylor Heating and Cooling in Bethany for 7 years doing HVAC installs and plumbing. When they closed, I worked for Five Star Electric in Bethany before beginning work at Bethany Building Center. My hobbies would include golf, hunting, motorcycle riding, woodworking, and yard work. The best part of working at Bethany Building Center are my coworkers. They make each employee feel like a family member.

My name is Blake Hayes, I work outside in the yard as a Restock & Delivery person. I have worked for Bethany Building Center since September of 2014. My wife is Cassie Hayes from Albany Mo. She works for Northwest Medical Center as an LPN. We have been married since September of 2016. Our first child will be born this November 2018. I graduated High School from South Harrison High School in 2014. My first job was here at Bethany Building Center. My hobbies include hunting, fishing, golf, sprint car racing, and other outdoor activities. The best part of working at Bethany Building Center are the people I work with.
